§ 26-19. Renewal of franchise; application.

(a)

A grantee under this chapter may apply for renewal of the franchise no earlier than three years before the expiration date. If a grantee proposes newer or improved services which do not fall within the scope of the franchise, such grantee may apply at any time for a new franchise to commence earlier than the expiration date of the existing franchise.

(b)

The application for renewal of the franchise shall be adequate and in a form acceptable to the grantor and should include the applicant's present name, business address, business form and proposal including types of service and operation, technical standards, and any other proposed amendments.
